Week Four

God tested Street Reach with a huge week. We hosted 120 missionaries and ran nine sites, opening a brand new one in a different area of the street Brinkley Heights is on, Rosamond Ave. Having so many people, and people I knew, was definitely tough. We also had various meal problems that made the staff more tense than usual. But I am praising God that He kept His hand on me, the staff, and this ministry.
I ran Kendrick by myself and it was totally fine! I missed having Kacie, but we're utilizing one of our 13 year olds, LS, to help out. 13 is technically to old to come to club, but it's okay if the kid acts as a missionary-in-training. So LS will do water for the kids, line them up, control them at lunch, play with them, walk down the streets with team members, etc. I had to step up in discipline, and I think I learned a lot this week. A New Bethel member told me my leadership skills had really improved. I thought that was a pretty neat compliment!
This next week, there are only four teams at Street Reach, because it's 4th of July week. So Whittier will be a staff-run site, and I have to work there, while Kacie is running Kendrick with a returning team. I love Whittier, and I'm so relieved I will be working with staff rather than a mission team, but I'm heart broken about missing my kids. So please pray for me that I will not be selfish about this.
